When I joined Crayon as a software engineer working on UI, I was excited to be part of a product-based company handling Big Data. What has kept me here, for close to six years is the employee-friendly environment. And the fact that I can learn something new every day.

Bonding over ownership

My team has bonded on several occasions, but the best times have been when we hit a roadblock with work. If any discrepancies are found, we collaborate to come up with a solution. That’s why one of my favorite Crayon values is “Responsibility with Freedom”. We’re able to work in our individual styles. This brings out innovative ideas, gives us ownership and accountability for the work we do. This in turn helps in achieving quality deliverables.

Finding a balance

These learnings go beyond the office. With flexible work options, I enjoy a good balance work-life balance. This has helped me to plan and execute things at appropriate times both personally and professionally.
