Karunakaran Neelakandan has joined Crayon Data as VP of Engineering.

He sports a rich and global experience of 26 years, in big data engineering/analytics, graphics processing units, machine learning, and data warehouse and business intelligence, across various leadership positions. He has joined us from Yubi (formerly CredAvenue), where he was the VP of Data Engineering. Prior to this, he worked with international organisations including Walmart Global Tech India, Wells Fargo, Gruppo Banca Sella and Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Karunakaran’s expertise extends across banking, retail, insurance, healthcare, telecom, life science and manufacturing domains. He is also an active member/mentor in WiT-ACE and Nasscom.

He also comes with:

• A strong background in enterprise data management solution
• Expertise in building ‘Data-as-a-Service’ to enable data monetization
• Experience in creating CI-CD pipeline for data services
• Implementation of data engineering transformation, data democratization, self-serve analytical solutions, and deriving Insights using deep/machine learning.

His rich experience and knowledge will drive Crayon Data’s relentless pursuit of pioneering technology.
